ABOUT US
MEET THE COLLECTIVE
Our Fire Collective (OFC) is a community dedicated to the healing and resilience of care workers, educators, and human service professionals.
We design retreats and create spaces that restore, connect, and strengthen people doing the vital work of justice, education, and care. At our core, we believe healing is not a luxury—it’s a necessity, and it must be collective.
OUR HISTORY
We didn't get here by accident.
OFC was born in 2020 during the Tiny Fellowship with 4.0 Schools, where we formed our advisory board and LLC.
With pilot funding and validation from this fellowship, we launched our first retreats, gathering educators from across the region.
From there, we expanded into a 9-month cohort, weaving together in-person retreats and virtual circles to support educators navigating the transition back to school after COVID closures. We also developed systems and infrastructure to sustain our offerings long-term.
Since then, we’ve hosted multiple retreats and welcomed over 100 participants. Through pre- and post-survey measures, we’ve seen clear evidence of impact: participants consistently report reduced emotional exhaustion, deeper mindfulness practices, and greater confidence in implementing healing-centered approaches in their workplaces.

COLLECTIVE HEALING
Healing doesn't happen alone — it happens together

OUR APPROACH
Honoring what came before. Creating what comes next.
We borrow and honor practices from many lineages—ancestral, cultural, and professional—and combine them with new practices created in community. Our facilitators are intentional about acknowledging origins, honoring the land, and giving gratitude in every gathering.
Healing with OFC is both radical and deeply human. By tending to trauma with care, vulnerability, and creativity, we open doors to liberation and joy. Participants leave not just with renewed energy, but with practices and relationships that can sustain them in daily life.
