FACILITATING PARTNERS

Healers. Experts. Visionaries.

OFC is built by practitioners, for practitioners. If you carry cultural knowledge, somatic skill, ancestral practice, or a deep commitment to collective liberation, there may be a place for you in our Facilitator Pod. This is a community, and we are looking for people who already know the difference.

WHO OFC FACILITATORS ARE

OFC facilitators are people who have done their own work.

They carry wisdom from lineages and traditions that predate any professional development program. Who know how to hold a room in vulnerability and move it toward wholeness, without centering themselves in the process.

They are dancers. Scientists. Healers. Organizers. Somatic practitioners. Ancestral rememberers. They bring rigor and reverence in equal measure. And they understand that the work they do inside an OFC gathering is not separate from who they are, it is an expression of it.

We borrow practices from our histories and widespread peoples, and mix with new creations just imagined. Stewarding trauma and nurturing each other is both radical for today and deeply, innately human.

We ask our facilitators to acknowledge lineages, request permissions, honor the land, and give gratitude wherever groups go, in physical space, in cultural remembering, and in each person's heart.

WHAT PRACTITIONERS BRING

The practices in our network are as diverse as the people who hold them.

OFC facilitators draw from a wide range of healing-centered modalities. No two practitioners are the same, and that range is intentional. It allows us to match the right facilitator to the right group, always.

NOTE ABOUT EXPERTISE

OFC expands what expertise means. A PhD and a grandmother who has been holding community circles for 40 years both carry expertise. We honor lineage-based knowledge, lived experience, and embodied practice alongside formal credentials. What we require is depth, integrity, and a commitment to your own ongoing growth.

WHO ARE THE RIGHT PEOPLE

WE'RE LOOKING FOR FOLKS WHO KNOW THIS IS MORE THAN A JOB.

This is an invitation. We are looking for people who are already in the work, already doing their healing, and ready to bring that depth into a community of practice alongside others who understand.

You may be the right fit if:

  • You are BIPOC-identified and connected to cultural lineages or ancestral healing practices

  • You bring expertise in somatic work, trauma-informed practice, group facilitation, or healing modalities

  • You believe healing is collective and that systems need to change, not just the people inside them

  • You are committed to your own healing and growth as a core practice, not a side note

  • You want to lead retreats and earn fair, transparent compensation for your expertise

  • You are looking for community with other practitioners, not just work opportunities

  • You are comfortable being a guide without centering yourself in the room

This may not be the right fit if:

  • You are looking for a traditional employment arrangement or benefits package

  • You have not yet done significant personal healing work yourself

  • You are not currently rooted in any healing lineage, cultural practice, or somatic tradition

  • You prefer a highly structured, scripted facilitation environment

THE FACILITATOR POD

NOT JUST A NETWORK, BUT A COMMUNITY OF HEALERS.

The Facilitator Pod is the community at the center of OFC's facilitation work. It is not a roster of contractors. It is a space where practitioners practice together, rest together, and hold each other accountable to the values that make this work possible.

Naqibah Al-Kaleem leads and tends the Pod. She is building it deliberately, relationally, and at a pace that honors the depth of the work. It is not growing fast. It is growing right.

“Dancer. Scientist. Equity bridge-builder. Mother. Remember-er of ancestors.”
— Naqibah Al-Kaleem, Co-Founder and Pod Lead

What the Pod offers:

  • Ongoing practice time to deepen your craft alongside other facilitators

  • Regular retreat facilitation opportunities with fair, transparent compensation

  • Collective rest and mindfulness, because we actually practice what we preach

  • Access to professional development, peer learning, and skill-building

  • Accountability partnerships and genuine celebration of each other's growth

  • A community that holds you the way you hold others

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER

THE VALUES THAT HOLD US.

Inside the Pod, these are not aspirational values on a wall. They are the agreements we return to, again and again, as the foundation of how we work.

  • Relational Accountability Over Perfection: We hold each other with honesty and care, not judgment. Growth happens in relationships, not in isolation.

  • Your Lineage Matters: The cultural knowledge, ancestral practices, and lived experience you carry are not supplements to your expertise. They are your expertise.

  • Continuing Education and Skill Development: We invest in each other's growth. The Pod is a place to keep learning, not just a place to deploy what you already know.

  • Rest Is Non-Negotiable: We practice what we offer. Rest is not a reward for completing the work. It is part of the work.

  • Fair Pay and Transparent Communication: OFC is committed to compensating facilitators fairly and communicating openly about how that works. No guessing, no ambiguity.

  • We Acknowledge Where We Come From: Lineage acknowledgment, land honoring, and gratitude practice are embedded into everything OFC does. Facilitators carry this as a core responsibility.

HOW YOU MOVE FROM CURIOSITY TO COMMUNITY

Joining the Pod is a relational process, not an application form. Here is how it typically unfolds.

//01

EARLY ENGAGEMENT AND FIT

You discover OFC through a referral, a pop-up event, a facilitator, or the web. Something resonates. You reach out to learn more. This is where curiosity becomes conversation.

//02

EXPLORATORY CONVERSATION

We listen deeply to understand your team's needs, your organizational culture, your capacity, and your readiness. This is mutual discernment, not a sales pitch. We want to make sure we are the right fit for each other before we go further.

//03

ATTUNE AND ALIGN

Together we clarify your vision, timeline, budget, and the cultural context your team is operating inside. We begin to embody OFC's framework, talking about what longer-term change could look like for your organization

//04

CO-DESIGN

You actively shape the retreat experience alongside OFC. We customize practices, select land-based venues, determine the right facilitation team, and build the specific arc your people need. Nothing is templated.

//05

REPARATION AND IMPLEMENTATION

Contracting, participant preparation, logistics, and a seamless handoff to the facilitation team. We set the conditions for presence and trust so that when the day arrives, everyone can simply be there.

START THE CONVERSATION

If this resonates, reach out.

We are beginning to schedule individual conversations with practitioners who feel called to this work. Tell us about your practice, your lineage, and what healing-centered collaboration means to you. There is no formal application. There is just a conversation, and then we go from there.
